Business requirements

Founded in 1773, Christys’ Hats stands as the Godfather of British hat making with impeccable quality and skilled craftsmanship present across their designs. British heritage is paramount to their brand values. Passing through generations of hatmakers, Christys’ red and gold insignia stands a symbol synonymous with fine traditionally crafted hats. Their hats are recognisable in politics as the official helmet manufacturer of the UK Police Force for two centuries, as well as cinema, fashion, and music with wearers including Winston Churchill and Brad Pitt.

Christys’ Hats came to us looking to upgrade their site to the latest version of Magento as well as being interested in ongoing development to grow and enhance their website. An Account Manager discussed with the client our support options and it was decided that the best course for Christys’ Hats was to take up our Gold Support Package.

Our solution

Christys’ Hats onboarded with us on our Gold Support Package, when online shopping was growing and was becoming a significant sales channel. Their chilliapple Account Manager worked closely with the client to outline their business goals and what they wanted to do with the website moving forward, using the MoSCoW method of ‘must haves’, ‘should haves’, ‘could haves’, and ‘would haves’, to help prioritise the development work.

As part of the Gold Support Package, we complete monthly SEO health checks, helping to improve the overall performance and rankings of the site organically. We also provide a quarterly competitor analysis report which outlines new trends and changes to other competitors websites so Christys’ can keep up with the competition, and potentially perform better.

The results

We have introduced Christys’ Hats to many of our partners from hosting, marketing automation and personalisation. With our recommendation to improve the overall user journey and increase their cross-sell and up-sell offerings by using more personalisation, we introduced them to Pure Clarity. Christys’ decided to integrate Pure Clarity into their site and have been rewarded with increased conversions rates since this was implemented.

With Christys’ Hats on our Gold package, we are continuing to work and develop their site with new and exciting features, all with the goal of customer satisfaction in mind. Since onboarding, the number of online visits and transactions have increased and we continue to build our long term relationship.
