They play a vital role in society, and are a hugely important part of the healthcare sector in England. Like GPs, pharmacies are a part of the extended NHS family. Anyone can visit their local pharmacy to access medicines, healthcare advice and a range of other health services.

South West London Community Pharmacy needed a new website on a new domain to improve the digital experience for pharmacy professionals across the region. Their key requirements included: a secure platform, tools to improve engagement and a central hub for service listings, financial reports and KPIs.

South West London Community Pharmacy approached us to create a brand-new website on a fresh domain to enhance the digital experience for pharmacy professionals across the region. Their vision was to establish a secure platform where local pharmacies could easily register, log in, and manage their details. They also needed a centralised hub to share borough-specific service listings, financial reports, KPIs, and the latest news. To strengthen communication and engagement, the organisation required interactive tools such as polls, help desk functionality, and member profiles. Finally, they wanted a professional, user-friendly design that worked seamlessly across desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.

The solution is built as a customised WordPress-based platform designed specifically for Community Pharmacy SWL’s operational and administrative needs. Using a combination of native WordPress functionality, custom PHP development, and Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), the system enables seamless user onboarding, account management, service browsing, and content delivery. Third-party plugins have been integrated to enhance functionality, and the backend is engineered to give the admin complete management of users, services, news, KPIs, financial reports, and members, while the frontend delivers a clean, user-friendly experience with AJAX-powered loading, embedded YouTube content, PDF previews, and granular borough-based filtering.
