The business requirements

fibodo (find it, book it, do it) is a SaaS booking management platform that connects ‘Hosts’, primarily sports and activity professionals, with their clients. It allows Hosts to connect directly with consumers, save hours of administration and reduce costs to maximise revenue. There was already a web-based offering of fibodo, however chilliapple were tasked with developing a stable and scalable app that allowed the clients of these ‘Hosts’ to book activities through their mobile devices. Clients will be able to find and book sessions 24/7, on the move from anywhere in the world.

Our solution

We developed the fibodo consumer app in Native iOS and Android technology. This means the apps have a solid foundation, are highly scalable and can support the rapid growth of fibodo, with new features able to be added as and when required. The app integrates with fibodo’s web-based application and database through an API, meaning that bookings and updates are made and received in real-time, with the app, website and database all synchronized together.

The results

The fibodo consumer app allows bookings to be made in just a few clicks, to add activities to a ‘Watchlist’, to instant message hosts and other users, and many more features. There is the ability to add family members to an account, so users can book for the whole family, not just themselves. The Hosts have customizable profiles, allowing branding to be maintained and, with the marketing functionality available from the app, Hosts can actively grow their business by using fibodo. The app is available for iOS and Android devices and the underlying software powers other white-labelled apps for organisations from areas such as NGBs, trade events and employers from both the public and private sectors.
