Our Process

Requirements
Oxford Products required a robust B2B eCommerce solution that could meet the needs of a diverse trade customer base. Core business requirements included the ability to dynamically show or hide specific content depending on the customer, provide file download functionality, and enable streamlined ordering via CSV upload or by pasting SKU lists — known internally as the “Fast Lines” feature. A self-service customer account area was also a key priority, giving users more control over their order history, account information, and interactions with the platform.

Solutions
To meet these requirements, Adobe Commerce (on-premise) was selected due to its rich out-of-the-box B2B features, scalability, and flexibility. This platform offered the foundational tools needed to deliver personalised content and streamline complex trade ordering processes. The solution included a full site rebuild, integrations with third-party systems, and a complete data migration, as well as custom features tailored to Oxford Products’ operational workflows. The design process was handled collaboratively between chilliapple’s in-house team and Oxford’s own designers, resulting in a modernised user experience that aligned with both brand and functional goals.

Results
Post-launch, the new site delivered a significant cosmetic improvement, with a more contemporary, visually engaging interface that better reflected Oxford Products’ brand. Personalisation based on customer type is now in place, enabling a more streamlined user journey and a greater deal of autonomy for Oxford Products’ customers. Chilliapple continue to support Oxford Products through a monthly Support Package as their technical partner in the ongoing roadmap.
