Chilliapple Helped B2B Company Launch a Successful eCommerce Site

Launching a successful B2B online store can be daunting, but it doesn’t have to be with the right partners. Recently, our client Eva Timber Group approached us to design a bespoke site that matches their business values and will help them to grow their business.

We take pride in being asked to handle such business-critical projects and have won a glowing review from the client in return.

Let us tell you more about the journey we took tailoring their online eCommerce site from scratch.

About Eva Timber Group

As the name suggests, Eva Timber Group is a B2B business providing companies with high-quality timber. The company caters for clients that work in construction, gardening, fencing, and several other similar industries. Eva Timber Group believes in sustainable and versatile building materials and sources their raw materials from FSC or PEFC-certified forests.

Their Online Presence

They already had a basic website but crucially did not provide e-commerce functionalities to their customers. They were growing their physical business, but lacked a strong online presence.

What the Clients Were Looking For?

Eva Timber asked us to build an up-to-date website with a bespoke design to help them stay ahead of the competition. They were seeking a sophisticated online presence that could cater to their B2B clients and grow business with glitch-free performance.

Their requirements were clear and straightforward:

  • A B2B site that can scale with the growing business and provides a powerful digital presence.

Our Solution

Based on this criteria, chilliapple’s Business Development team decided to recommend Adobe Magento Commerce. We conveyed to them that this elevated version of the Magento platform would meet their needs effortlessly. We explained that Adobe Commerce as a platform is highly scalable, offers high-end customisation, and ensures robust security for eCommerce sites. This eCommerce platform is also simple to manage, making it ideal for building B2B projects such as this.

Lauren, our Business Development Manager, alongside Emily, our Project Manager, travelled to the Eva Timber headquarters to meet the team and discuss the project.

As soon as we received the green light for the project, we created a well-defined roadmap and shared it with the client. We assigned a certified Magento developer onto the project and set out the project milestones.

Our team worked closely with Eva Timber Group to ensure the website designs met their precise demands while seamlessly delivering brand values.

Technical Aspects of the B2B Site We Delivered

  • Site on Adobe Commerce Suite
  • Live Search by Sensei
  • Inventory & Order Management Features
  • Page Builder
  • Bespoke Design
  • SEO Optimisation
  • Fully Customised Trade Account Creation Flow

Challenges Faced

The project ran smoothly and took 12 weeks to complete. As such, there were no difficulties, and the entire project was streamlined and was delivered on time.

As we look back, it was a wonderful project to be a part of and is a matter of pride to be working with clients dedicated to environmental well-being.

The Chilliapple team developed everything from scratch and collaborated with Eva Timber to design appealing logos and other marketing materials like posters for the local stadium, social media assets, uniform logos, and vehicle logos.

In Phase 1 of the website deployment, all the core features were released, and the less urgent features were released in Phase 2 development and launch.

The client was pleased with our work and to have chosen us as their support team. We continue to make vital improvements to the site.

Final Results

Along with help from Eva Timber’s digital marketing agency, MRS Digital, the new official website garnered £10k in revenue within the first fortnight of going live.

A successful collaboration indeed between chilliapple and Eva Timber Group!
